I’m Terilyn, the woman behind Haightlove, a healing business rooted in both personal transformation and deep spiritual connection. Born and raised in the Bay Area, I grew up as an only child in a home shaped by domestic violence. As a Filipino, Chinese, and white woman, I found myself moving between cultures and generations, which at times left me feeling like I was navigating life alone.

My career began in corporate recruiting in Silicon Valley, but I have always been drawn to wellness. In 2016, I completed a yoga teacher training, where I was introduced to the world of woo. In one of the classes, the instructors held a group energy healing session, where I had a profound, life-changing experience that I couldn’t even put into words.

I pocketed that experience as I went on through life, never forgetting how special that moment was. Late into my twenties, my childhood began to catch up with me—first as anxiety and frequent panic attacks, and eventually as chronic neurological and gut health issues that I could no longer ignore. I saw all different types of practitioners, medical professionals, and energy healers for years, where I learned that the root of my medical issues stemmed from childhood trauma. This gave me the opportunity to examine my own struggles—my need to be right, perfectionism, hyper-independence, and the challenge of allowing others to support me.

Through this journey, I also uncovered my own spiritual gifts. I sought out teachers from diverse backgrounds, exploring various healing modalities and learning what truly resonated with me. Experiencing spirituality in so many different forms inspired me to make it accessible and personal for others. To me, spirituality doesn’t always have to be about astrology, crystals, or rigid practices (although I do love astrology, crystals, and rituals, lol)—it’s about self-connection, self-awareness, and discovering what feels authentic. I believe true spirituality is about understanding yourself and embodying that truth in daily life.

The name Haightlove is a personal homage to my family and the home I grew up in on Haight St. in San Francisco. It symbolizes both love and hardship—a reminder that even in chaos, balance can be found.

Creating this business has been the honor of a lifetime, allowing me to hold space for others and be part of something greater than myself.
